At Hammer Safaris, the experience extends beyond the game drives and breathtaking Klein Karoo landscapes. We pride ourselves on serving meals that are sourced mainly from our own farm, ensuring that guests enjoy fresh, authentic flavors that reflect the land around them. Sustainability and respect for nature remain at the heart of everything we do.
For those interested, we also provide the opportunity to engage in hunting on a carefully managed and small scale. This activity is conducted strictly under the supervision of our experienced farm manager, who has many years of expertise in the field. With his guidance, hunting at Hammer Safaris remains ethical, responsible, and deeply respectful of the wildlife and environment we are committed to protecting.
Before your hunt begins, we ensure that your firearm is properly sighted, or we can provide a high-quality rental weapon if preferred. In line with our commitment to ethical and traditional hunting practices, all hunting is conducted on foot, with no shooting from vehicles. Vehicles are used solely to traverse our expansive property efficiently until game is spotted. Once sighted, the hunt commences on foot using the careful and respectful “walk and stalk” method, allowing guests to experience the thrill of the pursuit while respecting the natural behavior of the wildlife.
Hammer Safaris boasts a diverse range of game species across our 6,000-hectare property, with additional opportunities in surrounding areas. Our hunting program emphasizes both adventure and education, giving guests insight into animal behavior, conservation efforts, and responsible wildlife management.
